About The Position

The Revenue Accounting team is looking for a Revenue Accounting Manager to join our growing team. The Revenue Accounting Manager will own various revenue accounting close tasks as well as ad hoc order-to-cash initiatives and projects and assist with various system implementation and automation projects. This position reports to the Revenue Accounting Senior Manager and will work cross-functionally as a valuable member contributing to the Company’s continued growth and success. The ideal candidate will have a mixture of public accounting and industry experience, specifically in advertising or digital media/entertainment, and be able to operate in a fast growing public company environment. This person is a self-starter who is organized, highly analytical, collaborative and a problem solver. Requirements

• Minimum of 6+ years revenue accounting experience with direct experience in the advertising or digital media/entertainment space; ideally, a public accounting/private industry mix.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or higher education equivalent; active CPA required.
• Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills and comfortable with large data volumes.
• Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP specifically of ASC 606s.
• Hands-on experience with Netsuite, Salesforce and revenue automation tools.
• Must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Able to work under time pressure, prioritize a high workload, and meet strict deadlines.
• Positive attitude and flexibility to changing priorities, especially in the period of month/quarter/year-end closing.
• Proven ability to succeed in a fast paced and constantly changing environment.
• Team player, strong interpersonal skills including conscientiousness, diplomacy, flexibility, dependability, and, last but not least, a good sense of humor.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day activities of the revenue accounting function, with a focus on process improvements, automation and analysis of the business results to support the company’s scale and growth.
• Perform month-end close and reporting process for revenue, accounts receivable, allowances and deferred revenue to ensure an accurate and timely revenue close.
• Spearhead critical order-to-cash projects, including being a subject matter expert in revenue recognition for cross functional partners.
• Assess current practices and procedures, and assist with implementing scalable accounting processes to facilitate timely and accurate revenue reporting.
• Review sales arrangements to ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606. Research, review, and draft technical accounting memos.
• Support external audits and continual improvement of SOX controls throughout revenue processes.
