Revenue Accounting Manager Location: Sunrise, Florida Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manage the sales audit functions and execution to ensure that sales are accurately reported. Manage the accounts receivable functions to ensure billings are sent out and collected timely and accurately reported in the financials. Oversee resolution of double charges, charges back, etc. Responsible for ensuring that monthly journal entries and reconciliations for bank, A/R, Loyalty and gift card liability and sales related reserves are completed accurately. Assist in the preparation of the month-end financial package, including balance sheet and P&L flux analyses. Perform daily cash forecast for Pet Supermarket and work with Pet Retail Brands Treasury to assess and communicate cash requirements. Provide support to Treasury for quarterly bank reporting. Serve as Pet Supermarket’s point person in the relationship with Bank of America Merchant Services. Partner with Store Operations and IT on sales and discount reporting requirements. Oversee the setup and closure of card processing accounts through a partnership with IT and merchant processor. Partner with Merchandising on vendor disputes on billing for promotions, loyalty, damages etc. Assist with various ad hoc projects as needed. Assist with procedural documentation and implementing processes and accounting policies within the company. Provide support for internal and external audits, including preparing audit schedules and ensuring internal controls are operating effectively in areas of responsibility. Experience, Education, Certifications Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, CPA a plus 5-10 years continuous experience in a related field Minimum of 1-year previous supervisor experience of 2 or more individuals Competencies Able to work in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities. Fine dexterity for typing and handling of cash required on consistent basis. Heavy lifting up to 55lbs required several times throughout a shift. Able to seek relief intermittently throughout the shift. Effort Factor: Sensory Demands Majority of tasks do not require long periods of mental concentration. One notable exception would be inventory ordering. Active listening required when speaking with customers and employees Active observation required when merchandising the store Working Conditions Factor: Environment Works in a relatively temperature-stable environment with little requirement for overtime. May sometimes work alone. May be exposed to infestations and other illnesses/diseases from livestock. Verbal abuse by customers and accidental injuries from pets are possible.
