Works independently on complex oil and gas allocations and marketing arrangements, proficient in gas balancing and understands inventory accounting. Must be very knowledgeable regarding integration between Production Accounting, Revenue, Land Administration and Marketing functions. Essential Job Responsibilities: Must be familiar with impact of revenue transactions on profit and loss and balance sheet statements Must be well versed with regulations related to ONRR, state, Tribal and private royalty owners. Performs variance analysis and reconciles transactions through the general ledger balances in a timely and accurate manner. Prepares Regulatory Reports for highly complicated fields including States of Alaska, Louisiana, Texas, Wyoming and New Mexico. Prepares federal (ONRR) and state royalty and tax reports and makes related general ledger (G/L) entries to record/clear payments. Prepares accounts receivable reconciliation report and resolves outstanding balances for assigned properties on a monthly basis. Prepares general ledger (G/L) account reconciliation report and reconciles and clears balances for assigned accounts on a monthly basis. Prepares gas balancing statements and pipeline reconciliation reports. Prepares invoices for royalties and taxes paid for partners on a monthly basis. Prepares sales variance analysis and explains major sales fluctuations for assigned properties on a monthly basis. Performs special projects that require knowledge of oil and gas revenue accounting. Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional associations.
