About The Position

The Returns Assistant is responsible for processing all company products returned by customers. Processing includes, but is not limited to, receiving, recording, tracking, inspecting, researching, and disposition.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Three to five years of warehouse work experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as demonstrated during the employment interview process and by prior work experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge working with Microsoft Package
  • Ability to interact with other departments, within Ossur, via telephone, email/teams or in person in a professional manner.
  • Two years Inventory control experience.
  • Ability to solve problems and good organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift operation experience or willingness to learn is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Use a computerized database system to achieve accurate and timely processing of product returned by customers.
  • Maintain Return Manufacturing Authorization (RMA) database to reflect accurately returns status and history.
  • Contributes to maintaining a clear and orderly work area
  • Clear, concise and respectful communication with colleagues both verbally and via email/TEAMS
  • Forklift operation experience or willingness to learn is preferred but not required
  • Analyze returns for validity of claim and condition of product.
  • Refurbish and restock product when appropriate.
  • Control and disposition product that is not suitable for restocking per procedures.
  • Perform inventory transactions to reflect the movement of all products processed in returns.
  • Maintain inventory control for products not yet disposed.
  • Analyze warranty items to validate claim and/or forward product to appropriate personnel and/or Department within Ossur Holdings.
  • Research and track returned product for reporting, investigation, and validation purposes.
  • Coordinate with Supervisor, Customer Service Representative and Finance Department to ensure that proper credit is given for returns that conform to company policy. Returns that do not conform to company policy are not credited, unless an exception is made by a Customer Service Representative and/or Finance.
  • Coordinate with other Ossur Holdings facilities the return and tracking of products that need to be returned to facility of origin.
  • Maintains the inventory and work environment in a safe and orderly manner.
  • Proactively look for and, with the support of management, implement improvements of processes, efficiencies and overall cost reductions in the Returns Department.
  • All employees must be aware, have knowledge and shall have received general training in Quality requirements of Össur. Training takes place in the Onboarding process and in New Employee Orientation. More specific Quality training is job specific. All training related to the quality management system is done in accordance to the Training Management Process PR-00042.
  • Exercises good use of company funds and property within the guidelines set. Always maintains an honest and professional attitude as the company’s representative.
  • Contributes to a safe working environment by maintaining own workspace and reporting any potential hazards. All employees must be aware, have knowledge and shall have received general training in Össur’s Environmental, Health & Safety requirements. Training takes place in the On-boarding process and in New Employee Orientation. More specific training is job specific.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
