We support all undergraduate students at Cal State Fullerton, and our goal is to empower students to seek support and take the lead throughout their academic journey. Our Academic Advising mission is to work in a collaborative partnership with students, a shared responsibility, where the advisor and student are equally invested in the educational process and holistic development of the student with diverse assets, needs, and backgrounds. We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as the Returning Titan Engagement Specialist (Student Services Professional III). The ideal candidate in this role should have a positive attitude and an active, energetic mind characterized by highly ethical practices and a commitment to diversity, openness, flexibility, integrity, and kindness. Reporting to the Director of Academic Advising, Specialized Advising Programs, the Returning Titan Engagement Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting and guiding students who are returning to Cal State Fullerton after an interruption in their education. Requires a unique blend of student engagement expertise, academic advising skills, and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by returning students. The Returning Titan Engagement Specialist manages outreach efforts and provides personalized advising, resources, and support services to help former CSUF students experience a seamless transition back to the university and navigate their academic journeys successfully. Supports returning CSUF students who stopped out and other former CSUF undergraduate students who had an interruption in their CSUF academic career. They track and analyze data related to student enrollment and retention and maintain working relationships with the Office of Admissions and Extension and International Programs (EIP) to identify and address barriers for returning student enrollment. Other duties as assigned.
