About The Position

Siemens Industry, Inc. is looking for a detail-oriented individual to perform specification engineering tasks related to medium voltage control gear (MVC 81000), low voltage replacement circuit breakers, and medium voltage switchgear. This position reports into the Siemens Smart Infrastructure Electrical Services business. The candidate will also act as engineering lead on projects, supporting electrical drafters in creating wiring diagrams, tube marker files, and label drawings. With large projects, on-site support for the factory will be required to ensure that orders are built to specification. We are looking for a Retrofit Engineer. This position will be based in Wendell, NC.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• 2+ years of experience in a technical role related to the subject matter
• Experience with AutoCAD or similar Designing tool
• Experience with SAP or similar MRP/ERP systems and complex engineering Bill of Materials
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Nice To Haves

• Experience with retrofit engineering
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical systems

Responsibilities

• Interfacing with customers/application engineers/project managers to gather appropriate details to execute projects
• Creating approval drawing packages for MV control gear and switchgear
• Specifying custom mechanical BOMs for multiple product lines
• Various reporting needs related to the job function – SalesForce experience is a plus
• Activating and releasing sales order BOMs in SAP for production
