About The Position

The Retrofit Project Manager will own every aspect of retrofit projects. Assigned projects will be specifically related to the rapid growth sector of energy storage. The Project Manager must be capable of delegating tasks to others inside the company and following up to ensure deliverables are met. Follow up with customers and third parties is also critical to ensure that their input is received in a timely manner, to keep the project on schedule. Commercial as well as technical aspects need to be considered to ensure project success. The Project Manager will interface internally with people from almost all the internal teams at EPC. The role offers a good variety of tasks with organization, scheduling, customer satisfaction, and leadership being critical. This role can be in-office, hybrid or remote. The Project Manager will need to visit the factories in Poway, CA or Simpsonville, SC as needed. Please also consider that large amounts of time in the field at customers’ sites may be required from time to time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, training in Project Management ideal
  • 1-3+ years’ experience in project coordination or project management
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines in fast paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills & good customer service mentality
  • Proactive attitude
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Experience in Microsoft and Google environments
  • Basic understanding of technical concepts

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with customers and EPC sales, purchasing, manufacturing, logistics, finance, project engineers, and service teams to ensure successful deliveries
  • Ensure all commercial and schedule aspects of project are clear and appropriate
  • Document, file and organize project information
  • Manage change orders in ERP system
  • Document commercial items as needed
  • Drive project scheduling, management, delivery, and commissioning
  • Recommend and implement risk assessment and abatement plan to meet project budgets and targets
  • Identify, resolve, and communicate resolution on customer issues, escalating unresolved issues to immediate manager
  • Identify opportunities and provide recommendations to business unit for improvements on sales management and project execution processes
  • Serve as single point of contact for customers on assigned projects
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management
