About The Position

As a full-time Retread Technician, your mission is to assist in the production of the industry’s highest-quality retreads by performing specific retreading job assignments per company specifications, standards, and time frames. DRUG TESTING Purcell Tire tests for the presence of THC in all drug screenings for this position, due to the safety-sensitive nature of the job and the potential for injury or death when a tire is installed improperly, or a safety-related mechanical issue is not properly conveyed to a customer. It is a bona fide occupational qualification for service technicians to be unimpaired, so the Company will continue testing for THC and other drugs under the safety-sensitive exceptions allowed by your state.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect tires to be retreaded or repaired
  • Work plant station to repair and/or retread tires per specification
  • Safely operate equipment to buff, skive, repair, envelope, and cure tires
  • Safely trim, paint, and tag finished tires
  • Make final tire repair inspection and place with finished stock
  • Ensure work order completion: proper work, and identification
  • Maintain equipment in good operating condition
  • Maintain a clean working environment
  • Follow all OSHA and company safety protocols
  • Protect company assets (inventory, receivables, equip & real estate)
  • Other essential and non-essential duties, as assigned by management
