This role is responsible for supporting the Retirement Plan Services department, primarily involving the processing of forms and performing basic transactions such as handling roll overs, internal transfers, and death certificates. The position will rarely require answering the phone. It involves accurately diagnosing issues, providing client-driven solutions that meet IRS regulatory requirements, interpreting rules and regulations, conducting audits for compliance, reviewing client requests for corrections, and providing guidance to branch personnel. The specialist must maintain knowledge of retirement plan rules and regulations through internal and external resources and continuous training, and communicate with other internal departments to resolve issues. Performance is evaluated by reviewing daily productivity reports.
