About The Position

The Retirement Plan Manager is responsible for the strategy, design, and administration of qualified and nonqualified retirement plans and associated employee financial wellness strategy. This role involves managing vendors, directing communication plans, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, and monitoring the financial performance and efficacy of plans. The manager oversees annual enrollment and analyzes employee benefit plans to ensure they are cost-effective and incorporate employee tools. Additionally, the position coordinates, trains staff, and delegates support work, while also assisting with Board and committee materials and collaborating with management related to Shared Services-related transactional activity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience or experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the strategy and design of defined contribution and defined benefit retirement plans, nonqualified deferred compensation arrangements, retiree medical and all other nonqualified/retirement-related benefit plans.
  • Ensure plans are administered appropriately, in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, with a participant-focused lens.
  • Oversee plan recordkeeping and third-party administrators, monitor performance of third-party service providers, and respond to internal and external audit requests.
  • Collaborate with third parties, external consultants, and internal partners to develop, review, and draft recommendations requiring committee review and approval.
  • Manage, coach, and develop analyst team members on both technical and consulting skills.
  • Generate solutions and approaches beyond standard practice, demonstrating a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Develop strategic direction for benefits-related arrangements and conduct vendor Request for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Oversee the development and execution of comprehensive communications plans related to plan changes.
  • Draft and/or review documents and collaborate with partners and stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $115,000 to $145,000 annually.
  • Eligibility for short-term incentive compensation.
  • Deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
