About The Position

As a Retirement Plan Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing a book of business and enjoy providing day-to-day service and support for American Funds proprietary bundled plans, acting as the main point of contact for financial professionals and plan sponsors. You will research issues and questions to coordinate a timely resolution, as well as consider plan design changes by analyzing the plan’s health to provide options for solutions. You enjoy consulting and coaching financial professionals/sponsors through change processes, including qualified plan and compliance testing, to ensure all data is provided in a timely manner and deliver all testing results.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of in-depth retirement plan market knowledge, including retirement plan design, terminology, regulations and procedures and know how to apply it to work assignments.
  • Staying informed of the company's products and services, policies and procedures and applicable regulations and legal requirements.
  • Resolving complex inquiries related to our plans by utilizing resources to understand business and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrate initiative to identify issues, recommend solutions and make sound judgment in resolving matters of complexity.
  • Collaborating and maintaining relationships, both internally and externally, and pride yourself on your strong communication skills.
