The Retirement Plan Assistant Administrator provides operational and client support for retirement plan services by ensuring accurate execution of administrative processes and timely handling of client requests. This role requires strong attention to detail, logical and structured thinking, and a high level of accountability. The successful candidate is comfortable working in a client-facing environment, adept at using systems and data, and committed to learning and continuous improvement. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and retirement plan administration software.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and solve problems.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, participants, and internal stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Logical and process-oriented thinking with the ability to understand how data and workflows interrelate.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new systems, plan rules, and procedures
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in retirement plan administration, benefits administration, financial services, or operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Administer day-to-day retirement plan activities, including processing client requests and maintaining accurate plan and participant records.
  • Communicate professionally with clients to obtain required information, provide updates, and address inquiries.
  • Review forms, data, and reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established procedures.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external service providers to resolve issues and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Prepare reports, summaries, and supporting documentation using internal systems and Excel.
  • Maintain organized records to support audit, compliance, and service quality standards.
  • Manage multiple assignments concurrently while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.
  • Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and ensure issues are followed through to resolution.
