The Retirement Plan Advisor position at SchoolsFirst FCU involves promoting 403(b)/457 Retirement Plans to the educational community through workshops, promotions, and events.   • Promotes 403(b)/457 Retirement Plans to the educational community by conducting workshops, promotions, and events.
  • Assists in developing strategies for expanding the credit union's footprint in California through engagement in retirement products.
  • Develops relationships within core potential Membership to attract and retain new contributors to the retirement plans.
  • Plans and coordinates business development activities to meet organizational goals related to Retirement Plans and Relationship Management.
  • Assists school employees in establishing retirement accounts and analyzes their current retirement plans.
  • Provides world-class personal service in every Member and non-Member interaction.
  • Promotes retirement products and services through district and school visitations and marketing tools.
  • Meets with key contacts at districts and schools to plan and conduct retirement planning workshops.
  • Trains frontline team members on retirement products and emphasizes the importance of creating awareness with Members.
  • Meets established goals for new retirement plans opened and high service delivery goals.
  • Interviews Members to assess their financial objectives and develops financial plans.
  • Analyzes financial information to determine strategies for meeting Members' financial objectives.
  • Recommends and implements financial planning strategies to help Members achieve their goals.
  • Monitors financial market trends and communicates market knowledge to Members.
  • Prepares and interprets investment performance reports and financial document summaries for Members.
  • Reviews Member retirement plans regularly for necessary reassessment.
  • Contacts Members periodically to keep them engaged and on track.
  • Maintains an updated FINRA Form U4 and completes necessary continuing education training.
  • Attends in-person functions and presentations at various locations as necessary.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience required.
  • 3-5 years of previous related experience required.
  • FINRA SIE, Series 6 and 63 or Series 7 and 66 license required.
  • California Insurance Life & Disability Licenses required.
  • Valid California driver's license and insurance required.
  • Series 65 preferred.
  • CFP or other recognized designation preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of investment products including mutual funds, variable and fixed annuities, IRAs, 403(b), 457 (deferred Compensation), STRS, and PERS.
  • Excellent Member service skills and understanding of sales.
  • Competitive salary range of $77,260.00 - $115,890.00.
  • Scheduled weekly hours of 40.
