About The Position

The Retirement Advisory Consultant is focused on building defined contribution plan assets for Natixis’ affiliated asset managers through retirement focused Advisors, Aggregators and certain mid-market Consultants, where appropriate. The Retirement Advisory Consultant must work in close collaboration with external sales partners on the Wealth Management team. This role requires detailed knowledge of the retirement plan market and the investment professionals advising those plans. This position covers the southeast to southwest territory and requires living in the territory, ideally Florida or Texas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience; MBA, CIMA, CFA, AFI strongly preferred
  • FINRA SIE, Series 7 and 63 (or equivalent) licenses required
  • Minimum 5 years of Defined Contribution Investment sales experience and contacts with proven sales results
  • Extensive knowledge of financial marketplace, investment products, key trends and analysis
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the institutional sales process and requirements
  • Prior experience successfully managing and living in a territory independently
  • Ability to travel 50-75% of time
  • Able to multi task, be a great teammate and represent multiple products and strategies
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Self-starter with entrepreneurial experience or experience in startup groups/businesses

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of collegial sales team to meet and surpass sales, revenue, margin and activity goals at the individual and team targets
  • Cultivate relationships with investment professionals and target audiences via outbound calls, marketing, and external and virtual meetings
  • Market Firm products; convey investment ideas; provide product information; and gather data to influence sales
  • Travel to attend national meetings and conferences
  • Network, consult and collaborate with existing affiliate sales forces domestically and globally and work in conjunction where appropriate
  • Become an expert in our affiliate manager strategies and effectively articulate that expertise
  • Provide service to existing clients where appropriate and help coordinate client service offerings and expectations to maintain existing assets under management
  • Communicate and build awareness internally and externally of market landscape, current initiatives and successes
  • Manage and communicate opportunities, pipeline, rfps, rfis, wins and losses with feedback across pertinent affiliates, global sales teams and executive management
  • Capture activity and substantive conversations and pipeline opportunities via CRM or other designated tools
  • Operate within a specified budget for travel and entertainment expenses, and territory management
  • Make every effort to integrate oneself into Team and Firm culture
