About The Position

Trillium Health Resources is a Tailored Plan and Managed Care Organization (MCO) serving 46 counties across North Carolina. We manage services for individuals with serious mental health needs, substance use disorders, traumatic brain injuries, and intellectual/development (IDD) disabilities. Our mission is to help individuals and families build strong foundations for healthy, fulfilling lives. Trillium Health Resources has a career opening for a Retention Coordinator to join our team! The Retention Coordinator is responsible for supporting organization-wide efforts to strengthen employee engagement, reduce turnover, and enhance the overall employee experience. This role supports and assists with gathering and analyzing retention data, as well as developing and implementing retention strategies, employee recognition, and onboarding initiatives. The Retention Coordinator partners closely with Recruitment, Performance Talent, and Leadership within HR, in addition to departmental and organizational teams to promote a positive, engaging, and supportive work environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED and six (6) years of experience in human resources, workforce support, communications/customer service, training, or team building/coaching; OR
  • Associate’s degree and four (4) years of experience in human resources, workforce support, communications/customer service, training, or team building/coaching; OR
  • Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of experience in human resources, workforce support, communications/customer service, training, or team building/coaching; OR
  • Equivalent combination of education/experience.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must reside within North Carolina.
  • Must be able to travel within catchment as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Human Resources, Business, Marketing, Communications, Human Services, or Education.
  • Experience with retention related activities – recruiting, onboarding, offboarding, team building, communication.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing, coordinating, and implementing employee engagement and retention programs.
  • Support new hire check-ins, stay interviews, and follow-up actions to address employee concerns promptly.
  • Help manage employee appreciation initiatives, recognition events, and morale‑boosting activities.
  • Maintain communication with employees during key milestones in the employee lifecycle.
  • Collect, organize, and maintain retention, turnover, onboarding, and engagement data.
