BUILDINGS: Galesburg-Augusta Primary School, Galesburg-Augusta Middle School, Galesburg-Augusta High School HOURS: Varies depending on buidling Galesburg-Augusta Primary School 7:40 AM - 3:05 PM Galesburg-Augusta Middle School 8:04 AM - 3:37PM Galesburg- Augusta High School 7:20 AM - 2:43 PM MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of 60 semester hours of college credit required Previous experience working with youth in an educational setting preferred Ability to manage student behavior in a fair and respectful manner Strong communication and interpersonal skills RESPONSIBILITIES: Classroom Instruction: Deliver lesson plans provided by the regular teacher Manage classroom behavior and maintain a productive learning environment Take attendance and report any issues or incidents to building leadership Leave notes or feedback for the returning teacher On-Call Readiness Be available on-site or within a short call window each school day. Be prepared to fill in for any teacher or support role as needed (sometimes with short notice). Maintain flexibility across grade levels and subjects. Academic Support ( when not subbing) Provide small group or one-on-one support to students. Assist in classrooms as a co-teacher, aide, or interventionist. Supervise students during non-instructional times (e.g., lunch, recess, hallway transitions). Administrative/Clerical Support Assist with copying, organizing materials, or preparing classroom resources. Support front office staff with light duties (e.g., answering phones, escorting students).
