About The Position

Empire Distributors Inc, A Leading Beverage Distributor is now hiring a Retail Wine Sales Representative. Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • TN ABC Wholesaler's Employee Permit
  • Valid Driver License
  • Automobile Insurance - 100/300/50 minimum limits of liability.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, and Sales Portal Order processing systems

Responsibilities

  • Sell fine wine, beer and non-alcoholic products to supermarkets, drug stores, convenience stores and package stores
  • Learns and executes the seven basics of Empire: distributions, position, display, pricing, point-of-sale, cold box, and rotation in each account.
  • Travels through assigned territory daily to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders, present items for distribution, and handle damages and off-condition product.
  • Quotes prices and credit terms for orders obtained.
  • Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules.
  • Confers with District Manager to resolve customer problems.
  • Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries.
  • Identifies and respond to customers' needs.
  • Maintains frequent and open communication with drivers, driver supervisors, district managers, sales managers and the general manager.
  • Prepares and/or maintains distribution tracking reports, planning and goals, case quotas and dollar objectives and other administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Executes sales plans and maintain accounts according to company standards.
  • Tracks progress of goals on a weekly basis.
  • Participates in supplier work-withs.
  • Continually maintains training and product knowledge.
  • Delivers emergency orders when needed.
  • Attends trade show.
  • Conducts business according to local and state laws.
  • Other duties as assigned by District Manager.
