About The Position

Glen Raven is recruiting for a Retail Training Associate which will enhance the connection Sunbrella has with the indoor and outdoor retailers. With the growing number of retailers carrying Sunbrella branded fabrics for indoor and outdoor use, the Retail Training Associate creates a stronger presence at retail to educate and expand brand awareness. This is a remote role out of the South Florida Area. Travel will be 50-60%. When you join Glen Raven, you play a critical role and your input matters. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field or equivalent education and training.
  • 2-3 years of marketing or related experience preferred, not required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to think creatively.
  • Ability to train others clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Territory merchandiser to assist in managing the growing retailer relationships within our residential business.
  • Understand key retailers within territory and develop a 'call cycle' to build relationships and consistency of service.
  • Provide training and merchandising assistance for retailers through advanced interpersonal and presentation skills as a compelling ambassador for the brand.
  • Work with Retail Development and Training manager to initiate training seminars.
  • Analyze competitors in the retail environment to help areas of improvement and opportunity for the brand.
  • Act as a liaison between our customers' rep groups, the retailers, and Sunbrella.
  • Process information to assist with analyzing and developing action items to help maintain and grow business.
  • Work with the Retail Development and Training Manager to manage the business related to presentation of fabric sampling, servicing (orders and issues), customization of marketing tools, and all sales of the 'outdoor/indoor' customer base.
  • Assist in innovating and developing marketing and sales strategies with manufacturers to grow residential business within the retail sector.
