About The Position

Responsible for overseeing and coordinating the development, implementation, and updating of training programs for Retail employees including Branches, Contact Center, Interactive Services and Virtual Branch. Ensures that employee functions are performed in accordance with established credit union policies, procedures, and regulations. Develops new training programs and conducts training sessions to meet current needs. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Foster a positive environment through exceptional delivery of credit union practices. Deliver appropriate training programs through classroom activities, system simulations, role plays and various L&D methodologies to all Branch, Contact Center, Interactive Services and Virtual Branch staff to ensure proficient performance of job duties. Stay apprised of changes within policies and procedures. Review and update training program, manuals, and materials on a regular basis to ensure the most current training is delivered. Review and update operational policies and procedures. Develop teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works. Evaluate training program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback from trainees and managers. Support new employees during the training periods and generate progress reports of employees Keep management informed of activities, training concerns, and any significant employee problems. Assume responsibility for related duties as required or assigned Assist new employees with ordering corporate uniforms. Continually assess ongoing training needs by participating in analysis studies to determine training needs within the Retail teams. Conduct periodic training for Retail Staff on various products including Consumer Accounts, IRAs, Business Accounts, Fiduciary Accounts, Card Services, and Digital/Online Banking services. Collaborate with various departments to deliver training for new project launches to ensure Retail teams are equipped to assist member with the new products and services. Troubleshoot system issues that arise throughout the course of the training program. QualificationsEDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: High School diploma or equivalent. Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, education, or a related field preferred. Training certification is beneficial.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of retail operations within a financial services environment, particularly within credit unions.
  • Knowledge of financial products and services offered by credit unions (e.g., checking accounts, loans, mortgages, etc.).
  • Understanding of industry regulations and compliance requirements for retail operations
  • 2+ years of experience in a retail or customer service environment, credit union industry is highly preferred.
  • Experience in delivering training or coaching to individuals or teams.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and training software.
  • Familiarity with training methodologies and instructional design.
  • Strong ability to develop and deliver engaging training programs, both in-person and virtually.
  • Proficiency in instructional design and adult learning principles.
  • Knowledge of learning management systems (LMS) and training platforms (e.g., Cornerstone, Moodle, etc.).
  • Ability to assess training needs and develop customized solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to engage a diverse audience.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with branch staff, managers, and leadership.
  • Skilled in providing constructive feedback in a positive and supportive manner.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to track training programs, schedules, and participant progress.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently, prioritizing work to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other office tools.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with a focus on identifying gaps in knowledge or performance and creating effective training solutions.
  • Ability to analyze training effectiveness using metrics, evaluations, and feedback to continually improve training programs.
