Wilson Trailer is seeking a Retail Territory Salesperson for our branch location in Mankato, MN! Utilize your negotiation and sales skills to maximize the market and continue the Wilson Trailer quality pride! Position Summary The Retail Territory Salesperson is responsible for negotiating sales for new and used trailers. Maximizes the market by traveling assigned territory and selling new and used trailers to customers. Essential Functions Market Share – Maximize market penetration by traveling given territory, calling on existing customers as well as procuring new customers. Selling new and used equipment. Strive to increase sales in territory each year and maintain market share. Profitability – Handle orders in a professional manner. Negotiate sales of new and used trailers in an effort to maximize profits for the company. Complete new or used orders and coordinate with the corporate office on scheduling deliveries. Customer Satisfaction - Wilson Trailer Company’s basic values of honesty and integrity, combined with our dedication to quality, excellence and continuous improvement will guide our relationships with our external and internal customers. Follow through on warranty claims, ensure problems are resolved to the customers and Wilson Trailer’s satisfaction. Assist product managers with product improvements. Used Trailer Trade Values – Maximize used trailer profits. Evaluate trade-ins within company policy. Product Knowledge – Keep current on any price and design changes that affect Wilson products. Work with company to implement new and improved approaches to selling and promoting Wilson trailers, as well as making product improvement suggestions. Keep abreast of any price changes, design changes or marketing concepts that relate to competitors’ products. Territory Forecast – Provide annual territory forecast and expense budgets for given territory and be within + 10% on expenses and strive to be as accurate as possible on sales forecast. Secondary Responsibilities – Assists Branch Manager with keeping website updated on weekly schedule. Assists with used trailer inventory. Assist with keeping lot in a neat and orderly fashion. Assist Credit Manager and Finance Companies in loan-related matters. Keep customer mailing list current. Work trade shows or any other promotional shows when required. Company Car – Takes responsibility for assigned company vehicle. Maintaining records and expenses within assigned budget. Maintains positive relations with customers and other departments within Wilson Trailer Company. Maintaining phone contact with customers. Physical and mental requirements needed to perform the essential functions Functional vision, normal or corrected. Functional hearing and speech. Ability to report to work punctually at the beginning of the workday. Ability to read and understand production and print orders. Ability to read and understand a tape measure. Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer. Ability to use keyboard and use of mouse or alternative input device(s). Ability to understand and follow safety rules and regulations. Ability to meet physical demands, including climbing on, around, and under trailers in dirty, wet, or inclement conditions. Maybe exposed to agricultural products, animal feed, manure, and cleaning chemicals. May require working around livestock including cows, pigs, sheep, etc.
