About The Position

As a Computer Repair Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that computer systems run smoothly for customers. Your expertise will be essential in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing both hardware and software issues. The company is looking for someone who combines technical know-how with exceptional customer service skills.

Requirements

  • Proven technical, problem-solving, and analytical abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with repair of computer hardware and software
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Strong written and oral communication abilities
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Maintain cleanliness of the store at all times
  • Pass background checks: criminal record, driving record and drug test screening

  • Experience in soldering
  • Familiarity with internet security and data privacy principles

  • Wise Certification
  • Apple Certified Macintosh Technician (ACMT)
  • Experience repairing electronics, smartphones, PC/MACs, and game consoles
  • Technical degree or certification in Electronics or Consumer Electronics
  • Previous experience working at retail electronics store
  • Flexibility for variable retail schedules

Responsibilities

  • Identify and resolve hardware and software problems efficiently
  • Provide timely solutions to technical issues faced by customers
  • Explain complex technical concepts in a simple, non-technical manner
  • Offer recommendations for problem resolution
  • Provide repair and replacement estimates to customers
  • Ensure that all repairs meet or exceed uBreakiFix by Asurion quality standards
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and fixes for future reference
  • Greet customers warmly and maintain a positive work environment
  • Answer phone calls professionally and courteously
  • Exceed customer expectations by delivering superior service through the “serve, solve, and sell” approach
  • Keep track of all devices and safeguard store stock
  • Utilize the point-of-sale system to maintain real-time customer information and repair status
  • Set up hardware, install, and configure software and drivers
  • Maintain and repair technological equipment (e.g., routers) and peripheral devices

Benefits

  • Hourly pay, starting at $15 - $16 per hour + uncapped bonuses and commissions, earn approximately an extra $800 per month through bonuses and commissions
