About The Position

As a team member at Michaels, you will plan, coordinate, and facilitate events, including kids' birthday parties, to provide a stress-free, fun, and engaging experience for guests. You will deliver friendly customer service by assisting customers in finding what they need and ensuring a fast and friendly checkout experience. Your role will also involve completing operational tasks such as truck unloading, merchandise duties, and maintaining store recovery standards to uphold our Brand Promises.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events including children’s birthday parties and craft classes.
• Engage with clients of all ages, creating an environment of fun and creativity.
• Demonstrate and instruct party participants in craft projects and activities.
• Facilitate party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons to company standards.
• Communicate event details with clients and store team members.
• Complete administrative tasks including answering emails and making phone calls.
• Adjust plans based on client feedback and needs, creating backup plans as necessary.
• Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events.
• Uphold cleanliness and safety standards before and after each event.
• Help customers shop and locate products, providing solutions as needed.
• Engage customers on the benefits of the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards.
• Assist with Omni channel processes including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS).
• Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram processes.
• Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance tasks.
• Support shrink and safety programs, adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Participate in daily store cleanliness activities.
