About The Position

The position involves planning, coordinating, and facilitating events, including children's birthday parties, within a Michaels store to provide a stress-free, fun, and engaging experience for guests. The role requires delivering friendly customer service, assisting customers in shopping, ensuring a fast and friendly checkout experience, and completing operational tasks such as truck unloading and merchandise duties. The candidate will engage with clients of all ages, create an environment of fun and creativity, and demonstrate craft projects during events. Administrative tasks, client communication, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards are also key responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events including children’s birthday parties and craft classes.
• Engage with clients of all ages and create a fun and creative environment.
• Demonstrate and instruct party participants in craft projects.
• Facilitate party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members.
• Complete administrative tasks such as answering emails and making phone calls.
• Adjust plans based on client feedback and needs.
• Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events.
• Uphold cleanliness and safety standards.
• Set up, break down, and clean before and after each event.
• Help customers shop and locate products.
• Provide fast and friendly checkout experience.
• Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards.
• Assist with Omni channel processes including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS).
• Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram processes.
• Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs.
• Interact positively and respectfully with others.
• Participate in daily store cleanliness activities.
