About The Position

The position involves planning, coordinating, and facilitating events, including children's birthday parties, within a Michaels store to provide a stress-free, fun, and engaging experience for guests. The role requires delivering friendly customer service by assisting customers in shopping and ensuring a fast and friendly checkout experience. Operational tasks include truck unloading, merchandise duties, and maintaining store recovery standards to uphold the Brand Promises. The candidate will engage with clients of all ages, create an environment of fun and creativity, and demonstrate craft projects during events. Administrative tasks such as communication with clients and team members, adjusting plans based on feedback, and ensuring client satisfaction are also essential. The role supports the store's cleanliness and safety standards and involves participating in daily store maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate multiple events, including children's birthday parties and craft classes.
  • Engage with clients of all ages and create a fun and creative environment.
  • Demonstrate and instruct party participants in craft projects and activities.
  • Facilitate party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons.
  • Communicate event details with clients and store team members.
  • Complete administrative tasks including emails, phone calls, and paperwork.
  • Adjust plans based on client feedback and create backup plans as needed.
  • Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards before and after events.
  • Help customers shop and locate products.
  • Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience.
  • Engage customers on the benefits of the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards.
  • Assist with Omni channel processes including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
  • Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram processes.
  • Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance.
  • Support shrink and safety programs.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company policies.
  • Interact positively and respectfully with customers and team members.
  • Participate in daily store cleanliness activities.
