About The Position

The Retail Team Lead at Office Depot is a part-time role focused on providing "total solutions" to customers across Products, Technology, Services, Furniture, and Print offerings. This role involves building and maintaining customer relationships, acting as a trusted advisor, and supporting a customer-centric environment aligned with Office Depot's 5C values. The Team Lead will drive sales of total offerings by proactively engaging customers and assessing their needs, while also enhancing visual and merchandising standards, and managing freight and logistics. Additionally, the Retail Team Lead will serve as a part-time 'Key Carrier' and may perform Leader on Duty functions, including opening and closing responsibilities, which may require periodic comprehensive background checks.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1–3 years related experience; sales and/or customer service preferred
  • Experience in Print Services

Responsibilities

  • Support efficient operation within the Print function while driving overall store sales.
  • Operate and assist associates on all equipment within the Print Services area to maintain efficient production and ensure client orders are completed correctly and on-time.
  • Effectively utilize communication tools to request assistance within the Print Services area, and to coordinate the appropriate service for all customers throughout the store.
  • Process merchandise accurately and efficiently, adhering to established procedures, deadlines, and visual merchandising standards.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement plans to reduce waste and inefficiencies.
  • Ensure regular loss prevention compliance in partnership with all associates.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and practices; and support the company’s loss prevention efforts.
  • Contribute to increasing sales and profitability through conversion, Average Order Value (AOV), and customer satisfaction improvement initiatives.
  • Drive positive client satisfaction levels including coaching and training to associates to enhance the customer experience.
  • Support community outreach initiatives to drive client/customer retention.
  • Work to continually develop personal selling skills and product knowledge through sales and service tools provided to deliver the total solution.
  • Ensure the safety and security of the building and associates during the absence of the management team.
  • Perform opening or closing responsibilities, including driving awareness of key performance indicators, providing guidance to improve results, activation/deactivation of the store’s alarm system, and processes for opening or closing the store.
  • May assist in review of cash handling, cashier, and merchandise error logs, register voids, tax exemption and all related cash office audits.
