About The Position
At Northern Tool + Equipment, we are dedicated to serving those who tackle tough jobs. As a Retail Team Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and solutions tailored to their needs. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting and assisting customers, maintaining in-stock merchandise, and upholding a clean and organized sales floor. You will also promote the Northern Tool credit card program and sell extended service protection plans on qualifying items. Additionally, you will support the management team with day-to-day store operations, ensuring that the store runs smoothly and efficiently. In this role, you will be expected to provide courteous and professional service to best serve the needs of our customers. Maintaining a neat and orderly store environment is essential, which includes executing merchandising strategies, adhering to planograms, creating attractive product displays, and stocking shelves effectively. As a leader, you will set an example for your team by taking on additional responsibilities as needed and supporting store leadership by serving as Manager on Duty for an average of 25% of your time. This includes opening and closing the store, ensuring that all operations are conducted seamlessly.
