About The Position

Acts as an integral team member of the Pottery Worx program. Will have understanding of the day-to-day business practices/ADDT program of Pottery Worx and the community at large. Works with Pottery Worx Manager to assure success of day-to-day business practices and quality ADDT programming/vocational training.

Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma.
  • Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be proficient in a word processing system; Microsoft Word preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintaining instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

  • Hosts special parties/events schedule during and after regular business hours, including “pottery to go”.
  • Assist in scheduling groups/parties by following booking process.
  • Conduct tours for families and other professionals.
  • Assist customers in all areas of painting.
  • Conduct customer courtesy calls as needed.
  • Exhibits professional customer service.
  • Assist with inventory management.
  • Assist in maintaining communications with community partners and public relations/marketing events.
  • Assist supervisor with daily operations, including errands such as banking and shopping for supplies.
  • Assist in planning/implementing studio events and client ADDT activities.
  • Operate point of sale system related to sales and inventory.
  • Follow proper glazing and firing protocols, including loading and unloading the kiln on schedule.
  • Follow required procedures for cleaning and maintaining kiln.
  • Assist with cleaning of studio and kiln room.
  • Assist with client daily activities, goals and vocational training within the studio.
  • Complete all ADDT required documentation.
  • Follow all confidential guidelines set forth by Friendship Community Care, Inc.
  • Assist with quarterly/monthly emergency drills and all documentation as needed.
  • Assist with quarterly Health & Safety Inspection.
  • Record daily temperatures on freezer and refrigerator logs.
  • Exhibits proper cooperation, enthusiasm and interest in all areas necessary for success for all FCC and associated services provided.
  • Serves as driver for participant day trips to various state locations.
  • Driving may be required on as much as a daily basis.
  • Required to undergo periodic driving test and demonstrate proficiency in the operation of a motor vehicle, including passenger vans.
  • Employee may also be required to drive his/her own vehicle at times and maintain adequate liability coverage on any personal vehicle used to transport participants.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all information received regarding Friendship Community Care, Inc. and the clients.
  • Conditions of confidentiality shall be in compliance with Friendship Community Care Non-Disclosure Policy and HIPAA Policies.

  • Consumers’ progress notes be maintained and completed daily or as needed on the prescribed forms.
  • Consumers’ records must be maintained weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly.
  • All information must be filed in consumers’ records as needed and updated as prescribed by funding sources.
