About The Position

As a Retail Supervisor at LEGOLAND Discovery Center New Jersey, you will be a front-line leader responsible for driving an unforgettable retail experience for guests. This role involves overseeing daily operations, mentoring your team, and serving as Duty Manager a few times each week. Your primary goal is to deliver world-class service, ensure smooth operations, and make every guest’s day magical. The ideal candidate will have a passion for retail, a flair for leadership, and an appreciation for LEGO.

Requirements

  • Experienced in retail supervision or management, ideally within a high-volume retail or visitor attraction environment
  • Organized, proactive, and able to multitask in a busy, high-energy environment
  • A natural leader who inspires, motivates, and coaches a team to succeed
  • Comfortable handling guest issues with professionalism and care
  • Enthusiastic about delivering excellent customer experiences and having fun
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in retail or related environment
  • Excellent communication, sales, and people management skills
  • Experience with computerized point-of-sale systems
  • Open availability including nights, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Retail Team on the floor, providing example-based, shoulder-to-shoulder leadership
  • Deliver top-notch guest experiences while meeting or exceeding KPIs and Mystery Visit targets
  • Support training, coaching, and development for the Retail Team
  • Collaborate with the Retail Manager on schedules, merchandising, and inventory control
  • Serve as Duty Manager 2–3 shifts per week, overseeing operations across the attraction
  • Motivate, mentor, and give feedback to your team, keeping energy high and morale strong
  • Handle guest complaints professionally and ensure proper follow-up
  • Maintain clean, safe, and visually engaging retail areas
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, and ongoing training for new team members
  • Monitor performance metrics, including sales, dwell time, and team KPIs
