About The Position

Our premier client is actively seeking a Retail Store Manager to lead our retail store in Knoxville, Tennessee. You will provide leadership and direction to the store team and successfully execute company strategies. You will determine and maintain optimal staffing levels, recruit, hire, coach, and motivate a team of brand advocates who in turn will provide a 'wow' factor level of customer experience. You drive store profitability by controlling expenses, protecting company assets, upholding store operational and visual merchandising standards. You have a customer first mindset, and thrive in fast-paced, ever-changing entrepreneurial environments. This is not a remote position. This is a contract position. Located in Knoxville, TN.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance.
  • Minimum 6 years of leadership experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience in a premium outdoor apparel retail environment.
  • High level of ownership, accountability, initiative, and success achieving sales and profit results.
  • Ability to build, lead, and manage high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills founded on authentic customer service delivery with the ability to positively and proactively handle customer concerns.
  • Experience planning and executing store community participation and events.
  • Detail-oriented and excellent organization and follow-through skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Available to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Uphold brand standards and take initiative in achieving performance goals.
  • Monitor and adjust store performance against retail KPIs and goals.
  • Ensure exceptional service, visual merchandising, and product knowledge.
  • Support store events and build community relationships for brand awareness.
  • Identify and escalate issues, partnering with cross-functional teams for solutions.
  • Lead hiring, onboarding, and integration of team members effectively.
  • Provide daily support to achieve objectives and maintain standards.
  • Analyze business results and collaborate on strategic plans with Retail Channel Leader.
  • Ensure operational standards are met to set the team up for success.
  • Collaborate closely with the leads and SITKA Leadership to ensure that marketing and sales efforts are aligned with the store's overall business objectives.
  • Demonstrate a hands-on, customer-first approach and model best practices in customer service, sales techniques, and operational tasks.
  • Inspire the team with a focus on creating a high-energy, customer-focused sales floor that is aligned with company goals.
