A significant part of the position involves financial management, including analyzing sales and expenses, budgeting, forecasting P&L lines, managing merchandise margins, and safeguarding all monetary transactions to maximize sales and net profits. The manager is expected to work with minimal supervision, acting as an effective leader and supervisor.
