RETAIL STORE MANAGER, PARK CITY UT The Role: Helly Hansen is seeking an experienced Store Manager for our Park City store. We are looking for an experienced individual who likes to work hard AND play hard! The Store Manager is Helly Hansen’s primary point of contact for their store and the local market and are multi-functional resources to develop and deploy the business plans for their region and Helly Hansen Retail overall. They are responsible for understanding, influencing, and implementing all in-store HR, product, pricing, operations, merchandising, training, and marketing decisions for their location in conjunction with the rules and standards set forward by the Helly Hansen Retail North America team. The Store Manager is to be an active engaging, and influential team member in what Helly Hansen aims be the most modern, high performing, and authentic retail organization in the outdoor and sports industry. Requirements

  • The ability to provide the highest level of customer service to a diverse clientele and ensure that the customer experience is always outstanding
  • 3+ years of retail store experience in a supervisory or management position, preferably in the sporting goods or outdoor apparel industry
  • Experience with high volume sales, inventory management, and a clear understanding of brand market strategies
  • Expertise in the retail disciplines of operations, visual merchandising, standards, best practices, hiring, interviewing, selling skills, and team building
  • The ability to work evenings, weekdays, weekends, and holidays as needed, and occasionally powder days (on rarest of occasions)
  • Self-motivation and the drive to succeed
  • Entrepreneurial drive with excellent communication skills
  • Computer proficiency; Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is an asset
  • A passion for the outdoors
  • The ability to work under pressure and manage challenging situations
  • A history of thriving in a fast-paced sales environment while continuing to provide an elevated level of customer experience to multiple clients and training team members to the best of their ability

Responsibilities

  • Fully accountable for driving store performance and profitability.
  • Oversee product receiving, stock level maintenance, and adherence to seasonal pricing and product assortments established by the product team.
  • Hire, train, and retain all store staff.
  • Provide comprehensive training for all employees, including: Sales techniques and customer engagement. Operational systems and store procedures. Product knowledge for all in-store merchandise.
  • Develop and manage staff schedules to balance payroll efficiency with exceptional customer service.
  • Administer corrective or disciplinary actions as needed, in coordination with the HR department.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and support employee growth and development.
  • Achieve sales and profitability targets on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and enforce all loss prevention policies to minimize shrinkage.
  • Manage controllable expenses, including annual marketing budgets.
  • Receive and process new product shipments while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with the product team to plan seasonal assortments and forecast future product needs.
  • Execute markdown strategies to meet sales margin objectives.
  • Implement in-store promotions and ensure alignment with corporate merchandising standards.
  • Identify and pursue external sales and event opportunities to increase store visibility and revenue.
  • Ensure successful execution of all in-store marketing and promotional campaigns.
