About The Position
The Store Leader at Bargain Hunt is responsible for the overall operation of the store, including sales performance and management of store personnel. This role requires utilizing company reports and tools to assess efficiency, analyze trends, and identify opportunities for improvement in store performance. The Store Leader greets and acknowledges all customers in a friendly, professional manner, ensuring that customer issues are resolved quickly and efficiently, thus guaranteeing a positive shopping experience for every customer. In addition to customer service, the Store Leader is responsible for interviewing, selecting, hiring, training, and evaluating the performance of all team members. This includes administering appropriate disciplinary actions, including terminations, in partnership with support resources according to company guidelines and policies. The Store Leader continually evaluates performance issues and actively recruits leadership candidates, ensuring a clean, fun, and safe environment for both teammates and customers. Financial controls are also a key responsibility, including managing shrink, payroll, and other operating expenses. The Store Leader develops creative plans to increase store sales and implements sales strategies to attract new customers while retaining existing ones. Maintaining the store's appearance to company standards, including merchandise presentation, signage, stock levels, and recovery, is essential. The Store Leader fosters a positive work environment and communicates effectively with customers and team members in a professional, positive, and courteous manner. This role also includes serving as the primary Manager on Duty, opening and closing the store, and ensuring that all standards are continuously met.
