As a Construction Project Manager at Burlington Stores, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the development and management of new retail store projects, remodels, and other construction initiatives. Your responsibilities will encompass the entire project lifecycle, starting from preliminary site investigations and capital approvals to the final stages of construction and project closeout. You will be tasked with ensuring that all projects adhere to the company's standards for schedule, cost, and quality, while also managing relationships with external architects, contractors, consultants, and developers. This position is integral to our growth as a leading off-price retailer, generating over $9 billion in sales through our extensive network of stores across the United States and Puerto Rico. In this role, you will develop and manage project scopes and budgets, approving all project-related expenditures. You will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, which will require effective interaction and coordination with various internal departments and external parties. Your duties will also include scheduling and approving store equipment and fixture setup activities to ensure timely occupancy of new stores. This includes overseeing the delivery and installation of equipment, utility connections, refrigeration startup, and ensuring that all required occupancy licenses are obtained. You will also conduct performance evaluations of approved contractors, architects, and engineers at the conclusion of each project, collaborating with the VP of Store Design and Development as necessary regarding any changes in vendor pre-qualified status. Maintaining strong client relationships with various teams, including Sustainability, Supply Chain, Distribution Center, Facilities, Architecture, Store Planning, Corporate, and Procurement, will be essential to your success in this role. You will be expected to travel up to 75% of the time, with most weekends spent at home, making this a dynamic and engaging position for those who thrive in a fast-paced environment.
