About The Position
As a Retail Store Associate at PW Retail Foods LLC, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our grocery store. Your primary focus will be on delivering exceptional customer service, which is at the heart of our mission to keep communities fed. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks that contribute to the overall shopping experience of our customers. This includes restocking shelves, slicing deli meat, receiving products, assisting customers with inquiries, and processing transactions. Maintaining a clean and inviting store environment is essential, as it enhances the shopping experience and fosters a sense of community among our diverse customer base. In this position, you will be expected to provide friendly and professional service by greeting customers and assisting them with their needs. You will also maintain proper shelf, cooler, and case conditions by stocking, cleaning, and rotating products within the store. Cleanliness and sanitation are paramount, and you will be responsible for ensuring that the department's cases, prep areas, floors, and coolers are kept clean and sanitary. Additionally, you will work to minimize shrink by resolving any price discrepancies immediately and ensuring that all equipment is treated and maintained properly. Following food safety and sanitation procedures is critical, and you will be required to adhere to all company policies as well as Federal, State, and Local regulations regarding food preparation and packaging. Collaboration with other departments will be necessary, especially during storewide sales promotions or when assisting other workers as business needs arise. You may also be assigned other duties by management as needed, which may include various roles such as Cashier, Deli Clerk, Produce Clerk, Bakery Clerk, Floral Clerk, Grocery Clerk, Dairy/Frozen Clerk, or Utility Clerk. The work environment is a grocery store setting, with temperatures ranging from 50F to 90F, and you will be expected to perform physical tasks that require frequent standing, walking, and lifting.
