Selkirk Sport is hiring for a Part Time Retail Store Associate who is not only professional and reliable but also passionate about providing an amazing customer experience! In this role, you are more than just a point of sale; you’ll become a true product expert. You will have the opportunity to guide customers through our equipment lineup, conduct engaging product demonstrations, and ensure our store environment reflects the premium standards of the Selkirk brand. This is a part-time role with a flexible schedule within our store hours of Monday–Saturday, 10 AM–6 PM.

Requirements

  • A solid understanding of pickleball equipment and sport fundamentals.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience in customer-facing roles.
  • Ability to confidently demonstrate athletic equipment and sport-specific techniques, representing our organization’s standards with consistency and reliability.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a retail or hospitality environment.
  • Familiarity with the regional pickleball community.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Engagement: Provide friendly technical guidance on paddles and gear to help customers find the perfect equipment for their game.
  • Product Demos: Lead in-store and on-court demonstrations to show the real-world performance of our gear.
  • Store Upkeep: Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure the store is organized, stocked, and welcoming.
  • Daily Operations: Accurately process transactions and manage opening/closing procedures.
  • Community Engagement: Assist with local promotions and represent the brand at community events.
