About The Position

Market Associate ABOUT GINGER AND BAKER Located in an historic 100-year-old grain mill, Ginger and Baker is home to two restaurants, a coffee shop, teaching kitchen, event spaces and a market. It's become a community gathering place for dining, shopping, learning, celebrating and enjoying a great slice of homemade pie. We are a local, friendly destination celebrating Fort Collins’ history, community, creativity and pie. ROLE The Market Associate role is designed to create a great guest experience for everyone entering the building; whether to eat, grab coffee and a snack, shop for a gift or order pies and gift baskets. Part concierge, part retail sales clerk, part customer service expert; market associates are knowledgeable about the building, the business and our retail offerings.

Requirements

Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
Strong selling and interpersonal skills.
Facile with POS systems and computer systems for inventory, sales, pricing, tracking and report generation.
High level of creativity.
Attention to detail.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and make decisions in a fast-paced client driven environment.
High School diploma or equivalent required
1-year customer service in a retail setting as a Retail Associate
Strong communications skills
This job requires a flexible schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
The restaurant industry depends on success during busy times of the year such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
This job requires the Associate to be available for work during these times.
CSU schedules also influence business and staffing is required during Graduation weekends, football game weekends and Freshman move-in weeks.
Must have or obtain Serv-Safe and TIPs training.
Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Able to accurately read and make measurements.

Responsibilities

Assist in the execution of the tasks and service associated with the daily operation of the Market, so as to promote operational efficiency and Guest service at the highest possible standard.
Opening and closing responsibly
Point of sale execution and guest service
Receiving, pricing, and merchandising of inventory
Stock assessment and procurement
Cleaning and preventive maintenance
Push for an exceptional level of Guest service and satisfaction by responding to each Guest’s individual needs in a timely manner, upholding the standards of Ginger and Baker.
Monitor customer lines and intervene when necessary.
Ensure company guidelines on visual merchandising and inventory.
Effectively communicate and coordinate operational activities with key relationships in all areas of Ginger and Baker.
Provide history and tour of facilities when possible.
Promote a warm and friendly atmosphere among Team Members and guests.
Comply with Ginger and Baker policies/procedures, dress code and Standards of Conduct as set forth in the Team Member Handbook.
Execute all food ToGo orders assigned to the Market, whether it is via phone, tablet, or our own website ordering platform.
Update items availability in the system before and during shifts.
Work closely with baristas and kitchen to properly complete all orders, assuring accuracy and guest service.
