Help guests take home Yellowstone memories! Yellowstone Retail is looking for friendly, enthusiastic, and passionate employees to provide unforgettable guest service to our visitors in our retail shops. We operate and maintain eleven retail outlets throughout the park. We don't sell souvenirs, we sell memories! Job Summary: This role focuses on leading a training team to enhance guest service and achieve retail goals through engaging training programs that reflect Legendary Hospitality. Key responsibilities include assessing training needs, developing content, coaching managers, and facilitating sessions, while ensuring consistency and motivating a diverse team through organizational changes. Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Perform all duties towards the company goals, maximize guest service, and meet or exceed job expectations. Incorporate Legendary Hospitality into the training programs.
  • Manage and give direction to training team to accomplish retail specific goals.
  • Work closely with Retail Support team to determine retail specific training needs and areas of emphasis.
  • Ensure consistency of training with presentation styles and content messaging using a variety of instructional methods that emphasize learner engagement and transfer of learning to the workplace.
  • Be coachable and work towards incorporating constructive feedback for improvement.
  • Acts as a professional, modeling company expectations and behaviors and coach others to meet these expectations.
  • Compile data for programmatic development or modification as requested by Learning and Development and Human Resources
  • Assist in the development of new content based on data to better meet the needs of internal guests. Respond to input from Retail Support and retail location management to refine and update training.
  • Model the behaviors expected of managers to bring credibility when coaching managers.
  • Focus on all tasks associated with the specialty. Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the specialty.
  • Conduct trainings (facilitate trainings that expand outside area of expertise).
  • Transition from Training to Facilitation and understanding the difference.
  • Mitigate employee resistance to organizational change.
  • Motivate and inspire a diverse team to reach project goals by building relationships, leading by example, and managing conflict.
  • Act as a resource for field managers and assistant managers on procedures, standards, and other company-wide policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate leadership and supervisory management training
  • Works to develop and update procedures.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and assist with training of all seasonal field personnel to perform job tasks utilizing presentation and on-the-job training techniques.
  • Assist and coach Managers and Assistant Managers in the field in conjunction with the Support Department and location management.
  • Help to supervise field trainers and do training evaluations to ensure proper presentation of materials.
  • Assist with developing new training programs as needed for all specialist positions.
  • Maintain training plans and outlines, updating as needed as procedures change.
  • Develop, organize, and conduct training seminars and other meetings as needed.
  • Assist with annually updating job training manuals and aids.
  • Assist with schedules and coordinating of training venues and dates for training classes. Schedule mid-season arrival training as needed.
  • Exercise appropriate discretion to escalate concerns related to employment law and company policy and procedure issues.
  • To accomplish special projects as assigned.
