About The Position

The Retail Security Supervisor (RSS) is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Retail Security Team, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and operational efficiency. This role involves training, coaching, and developing team members while maintaining high standards of service and security. The RSS must exhibit strong organizational and communication skills, as well as flexibility to meet the business's needs, including working weekends and holidays.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of Retail Experience (can be in combination with Retail Security/Loss Prevention)
  • 3+ years of Security Experience
  • 2+ years of Supervisory or leadership experience
  • Current OR DPSST Unarmed Professional Security Private Provider certification
  • Current or ability to obtain OR DPSST Supervisory Management license
  • Current or ability to obtain WA DOL Unarmed Security Guard license
  • Excellent organization, oral, and written communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to established procedures and help identify and solve problems
  • Must be able to move equipment weighing up to 40 pounds

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and supervising day-to-day operations of the Retail Security Team.
  • Ensure compliance with client's contractual requirements and operational efficiency.
  • Conduct pre-deployment training and on-the-job training for team members.
  • Perform routine site inspections to assess security measures and identify vulnerabilities.
  • Support officer development and performance management.
  • Ensure all shifts are filled in advance, accounting for time off requests.
  • Review daily activity and incident reports, communicating needs to clients and management.
  • Oversee maintenance and condition of Retail Security site equipment.
  • Organize and host bi-weekly team meetings to discuss operational priorities and client issues.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for emergency situations, ensuring prompt response to incidents.
