About The Position

The Retail Security Supervisor is responsible for supporting the general operation of the company in accordance with policies set forth by the Company and the Dispensary Management Team. This role involves assisting retail customers, maintaining security protocols, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Requirements

  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Must pass any and all required background checks.
  • Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
  • Previous customer service experience preferred.
  • Basic understanding of compliance software and job-specific information technology.
  • Ability to communicate clearly whether verbally or in writing.
  • Ability to interpret, understand, and comply with complex statutes, ordinances, regulations, standards, and laws.
  • Proficient in Windows-based software and point of sale applications.

Responsibilities

  • Assist retail customers in accordance with the company's mission, goals, and objectives.
  • Display extensive retail product knowledge to assist customers in making educated purchasing decisions.
  • Accurate use and maintenance of the Point-of-Sale (POS) system and online ordering interfaces.
  • Maintain a secure entrance and exit from the licensed establishment.
  • Follow proper cash handling procedures and discount/coupon application.
  • Answer phones, provide authorized information in response to queries, and greet potential customers professionally.
  • Verify age through scanning valid identification and direct customers through initial purchasing steps.
  • ID, document, and issue visitor badges to site visitors and arrange for them to be escorted.
  • Perform routine checks to verify all electronic security systems are functioning properly.
  • Maintain and verify accurate product counts for each customer transaction.
  • Ensure the protection of medical patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Comprehend and apply Company security and safety compliance procedures and protocols.
  • Proficiently render aid in emergency situations using First Aid and AED equipment.
  • Maintain store organization, cleanliness, and general upkeep of the sales floor.
  • Report customer issues to supervisory staff and assist in their resolution.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and follow established policies and procedures for sales and customer service.
  • Other duties as assigned.
