About The Position
As a Retail Scan Associate at ScanScape, you will play a crucial role in collecting data that influences the shopping experience across various retail environments. Your primary responsibility will be to scan barcodes of products in stores that require analysis. This data collection is essential for assessing, comparing, and improving the performance of both the products and the stores themselves. The position offers a unique opportunity to work independently while enjoying flexible hours that can be tailored to fit your schedule. You will be expected to visit assigned local retailers, including grocery stores, convenience stores, drug stores, and mass merchandise stores, to perform in-store data collections on a weekly basis. The job involves using a downloadable app on your personal device to scan barcodes in multiple locations throughout each store. Depending on the size of the store and project requirements, you can expect to work anywhere from 2 to 20 hours per week. While scanning, you will also be responsible for inventorying certain products within the store. This role is critical to the data we deliver to our clients, and therefore, we seek dependable and quality-driven individuals who can maintain a high standard of work. In addition to the independence and flexibility that comes with the role, you will also engage in some physical activity, which includes being on your feet for extended periods, lifting items up to 25 pounds, and performing repetitive movements. Attention to detail is paramount, as is the ability to work independently.
