About The Position
As a Retail Scan Associate at ScanScape, you will play a crucial role in collecting data that influences the shopping experience. This position involves visiting various retail stores, including grocery, convenience, drug, and mass merchandise stores, to scan barcodes of products. The data collected is essential for assessing, comparing, and improving the performance of both the products and the stores. You will be working with major brand retailers such as Walmart, Kroger, Target, and Albertsons, as well as smaller independent retailers in your neighborhood. Your daily tasks will include using a downloadable app on your personal device to scan barcodes in numerous locations throughout each store. Depending on the store size and project requirements, you can expect to work anywhere from 2 to 20 hours per week. This role offers flexibility in hours, allowing you to create a schedule that works best for you. Additionally, you will be responsible for inventorying specific products within the store, which is critical to the data we deliver to our clients. Being a Retail Scan Associate provides workplace independence, job consistency, and some physical activity, making it an excellent opportunity for those looking for part-time work with flexible hours. You will be compensated at a rate of $15 per hour, with paid travel between stores and paid sick time. The position also includes eligibility for a 401K with matching contributions and an unlimited monetary referral program.
