About The Position
As a Retail Scan Associate at ScanScape, you will play a crucial role in collecting data that influences the shopping experience. This position is not about shopping; instead, you will visit various retail stores to scan barcodes of products in areas that require analysis. The data you collect will be used to assess, compare, and improve the performance of both the products and the stores. Your daily tasks will involve using a downloadable app on your personal device to scan barcodes in numerous locations throughout each store, which can include grocery, convenience, drug, and mass merchandise stores. You will be working with major brand retailers such as Walmart, Kroger, Target, and Albertsons, as well as small independent retailers in your neighborhood. The role offers flexibility in hours, allowing you to work part-time based on your schedule, with an average of 2 to 20 hours per week depending on store size and project requirements. You will be expected to inventory specific products within the store while scanning barcodes, which is critical to the data we deliver to our clients.
