The Retail & Sales Merchandiser Specialist is responsible for executing daily in-store merchandising, retail executions and sales development across an assigned retail area. This role ensures that products are properly stocked, displayed, and executed according to established brand, client, and retailer standards. Sales support to strengthen distribution, improve visibility, and drive consistent retail performance. This is a highly field-based position requiring extensive daily driving between retail locations. The Retail & Sales Merchandiser Specialist follows a pre-established route, completes all reporting through company-approved mobile applications, and serves as a frontline representative of the agency and its clients. Retail Execution & Merchandising Execute merchandising activities across assigned retail accounts in accordance with brand and retailer standards. Stock shelves, rotate products, maintain product freshness, and ensure accurate placement. Install, maintain, and audit displays and point-of-sale materials. Identify and address out-of-stocks, pricing issues, and execution gaps. Route Management & Daily Store Visits Follow a pre-established daily route, visiting multiple retail locations each day. Travel from store to store throughout the workday as a core function of the role. Ensure all assigned locations are serviced consistently and according to schedule. Communicate route changes, store access issues, or execution challenges promptly to management. Sales & Market Development Support Executing at store level while actively supporting sales growth with store managers, buyers and distributors. Assisting with negotiations for displays, In-store demos and samplings. Support market growth by building strong working relationships with store managers, buyers, distributors and retail partners. Build and maintain professional relationships with store managers, department managers, and retail staff. Support sales initiatives by improving product visibility and in-store execution. Coordinate with distributor partners and internal teams as needed. Distributor & Account Coordination Work closely with distributors and key accounts to ensure alignment on execution, promotions, and distribution goals, helping facilitate smooth market expansion and consistent in-store performance. Supporting new store openings and expansion into additional locations. With a strong understanding of the Hispanic and General Market in Chicago, will support culturally relevant in-store execution and promotions that resonate with local consumers.
