From helping a 10U player pick their first specialized glove to dialing in a collegiate athlete with the hottest new bat tech, you’ll use your elite product knowledge and high-energy personality to ensure every player is geared for greatness. If you stay obsessed with the latest drop-weights and composite innovations, this role could be for you. As a Baseball Sales Manager, you are the face of the SCHEELS experience. Your day will be a mix of high-energy customer interaction and strategic business operations:

Requirements

  • Fastpitch Authority: You are a true subject matter expert in all things softball, from youth leagues to elite travel ball, with a deep understanding of the latest bat technologies and equipment trends.
  • Precision-Driven Leader: You bring a high level of attention to detail and natural leadership qualities, ensuring every setup that leaves the shop is dialed in for total accuracy.
  • Culture Fit: You arrive early (10 minutes is our standard!), bring high energy, and have a genuine desire to help others.
  • Skills: Basic math and communication skills are essential for sales and reporting.
  • Physicality: This is a "heavy work" role. You should be comfortable standing, walking, and occasionally lifting/moving up to 100 lbs.
  • Education: High school diploma (or GED) and 1–3 months of related experience are preferred.
  • Candidate must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

  • Be the Expert: Provide unmatched customer service by sharing deep product knowledge and helping customers find exactly what they need.
  • Drive the Business: Meet personal sales goals, analyze inventory trends, and make decisions on merchandise arrangements to keep our floors looking world-class.
  • Own the Floor: Maintain a professional environment by stocking merchandise, setting up eye-catching displays, and collaborating with vendors.
  • Never Stop Learning: Participate in weekly product knowledge meetings and facilitate training for your peers.
