About The Position

Turn your passion for the outdoors, sports, or fashion into a world-class career. At SCHEELS, we don’t just sell gear—we live it. As a leader in the sporting goods industry, we are driven to create the best experience in the USA for our customers. We empower our associates to become true experts through extensive product training, mentorship, and professional development. If you "walk the walk" and love helping others find their next favorite hobby, you belong at SCHEELS. We’re looking for a Baseball Sales Manager who enjoys being apart of the heartbeat of the local baseball community. Whether you're helping a T-baller find their first glove or dialing in a high school standout with the latest BBCOR tech, you’ll use your elite product knowledge and outgoing personality to ensure every player walks out ready for a walk-off.

Requirements

  • You are a true subject matter expert across all ages and levels of play, staying obsessed with the latest industry trends, bat technologies, and gear releases for baseball and softball.
  • You bring a high level of attention to detail and natural leadership qualities, ensuring every setup that leaves the shop is dialed in for total accuracy.
  • You arrive early (10 minutes is our standard!), bring high energy, and have a genuine desire to help others.
  • Basic math and communication skills are essential for sales and reporting.
  • This is a "heavy work" role. You should be comfortable standing, walking, and occasionally lifting/moving up to 100 lbs.
  • High school diploma (or GED) and 1–3 months of related experience are preferred.
  • Candidate must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Provide unmatched customer service by sharing deep product knowledge and helping customers find exactly what they need.
  • Meet personal sales goals, analyze inventory trends, and make decisions on merchandise arrangements to keep our floors looking world-class.
  • Maintain a professional environment by stocking merchandise, setting up eye-catching displays, and collaborating with vendors.
  • Participate in weekly product knowledge meetings and facilitate training for your peers.

Benefits

  • Become an Owner: Join our 100% Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) at no cost to you. You'll start earning ownership after your first year (1,000 hours) and become fully vested in just three years. Continue to build wealth with 401(k) options (eligible after your first quarter).
  • Comprehensive Health Support: We invest in your wellbeing by paying 75% of your health plan premium, contributing directly to your HSA, and offer a full insurance suite including Dental, Vision, and Accident/Hospital Indemnity. These benefits kick in quickly—starting the first of the month following your first 60 days.
  • Balance & Support: Enjoy 15 days of PTO (prorated based on your start date) and 6 paid holidays, plus maternity, parental, and bereavement pay.
  • Best Discount in Retail: Access our "famous" associate discount on the premium brands you love.
  • Community Impact: Get paid to give back! Beyond monthly paid volunteer time, you’ll receive $500 annually to donate to a charity of your choice.
