About The Position

At the Museum of Sex, Retail Sales Lead supports the award-winning retail store, which carries “best-of” products, and is known as a trusted destination for all things sexual wellness and fun. The Lead, Retail Sales will work closely with the entire Retail team to ensure that Retail sales goals are achieved by taking an active role in training all new department hires and providing Associates with coaching.

Requirements

• You have the ability to work nights, weekends, and some holidays

Responsibilities

• Be an example of guest service excellence for the Associates, Retail Sales and other departments
• Report all guest complaints and staffing challenges to the Senior Leadership Team, as needed
• Handle operational challenges as they occur
• Will be in rotation for department lead responsibilities (opening, running, and closing the Retail department)
• Take an active role in training all incoming new hires to the department
• Maintain appearance and functionality of the Retail area – partnering with management
• Stay up-to-date with product knowledge, pricing, and sales processes
• Be knowledgeable about the museum, its history, programs, and special events and effectively communicate this information to guests.
• Perform additional duties as assigned
