About The Position

The Retail Sales Coordinator acts as a bridge between the Retail, Marketing and group sales department primarily. This position is to support the Retail and Marketing efforts with focus on driving revenue and supporting the sales process. This job will focus on updating and maintaining the Shop Ojai website & provide group sales support as well as facilitate group retail purchases and individual leisure purchases. Will participate in photo shoots with Marketing to update product photos as well as creative seasonal images. Maintains an extensive knowledge of all retail products and continues to update the site with proper descriptions of the product. Must possess excellent communication skills with internal and external guests as well as a consistently professional appearance and demeanor. Promptly replies to all Shop Ojai guest questions, concerns and return of products. Maintains Shop Ojai inventory. Assists with organizing group business, placing orders, attending events, and the set up of gifting suites. Will maintain an online shopping website for group coordinators. This position reports to the Retail Manager. STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS: Requirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skills and/or abilities. To perform this job successfully, the incumbent will possess the abilities or aptitudes to perform each duty proficiently. Some requirements may exclude individuals who pose a direct threat or significant risk to the health and safety of themselves, other associates or guests.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a retail environment.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a sales support role.
  • Experience with Shopify and overseeing an online store is desirable.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Products to include excel and word.
  • Familiar with Adobe Suite (Photoshop
  • Proficient in Macintosh and PC formats.
  • Computer literacy and data management ability to utilize inventory management systems
  • Experience with online ecommerce site management (Shopify)
  • Online Marketing experience
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal, non-verbal and written).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to adhere to luxury standards.
  • Demonstrates a passion for the product lines presented in OVI shops.
  • Experience with physical inventory
  • Ability to support sales strategies, manage accounts, and understand industry trends
  • Basic arithmetic skills including use of percentages.
  • Valid drivers license.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a retail boutique setting and/or a luxury resort.
  • Previous online sales experience.
  • Familiar with online Marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Support Retail Manager and Department in driving sales revenue
  • Oversee all daily aspects of Shop Ojai Inventory, process all orders, order all supplies to support business
  • Work with Marketing to help drive business.
  • Maintain full knowledge of retail offerings.
  • Ensure guest expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Respond appropriately to guest issues, bringing them to a satisfactory resolution.
  • Follow-up with guests to ensure satisfaction.
  • Consistently log, verify, and check information in the inventory management system.
  • Communicate consistently with Retail Manager and CJL team for product needed.
  • Participate in Shop Ojai product/creative photoshoots.
  • Maintain seasonal site images and products.
  • Prioritize the work for the day/week and use time management techniques.
  • Assists Retail Manager in organizing group business.
  • Support in store sales team through floor coverage when needed.
  • Participate in group gifting events when necessary.
