About The Position

The Retail Sales Business Manager is responsible for managing and growing assigned retail accounts through strategic planning, strong relationship management, and disciplined execution. This role will drive sales performance by aligning customer needs with company objectives, ensuring effective product placement, and executing account-specific strategies. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in retail account management, with a preference for experience in the grocery sector, and additional exposure to Beauty and Home & Personal Care (HPC) categories.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in retail account management, business management, or a related sales role
  • Proven ability to develop and execute sales strategies within a retail environment
  • Strong understanding of retail operations, pricing, promotions, and assortment planning
  • Hands-on experience with retailers or distributor vendor portals
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining accountability and responsiveness
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 25% of the time for client meetings and trade shows
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with CRM tools is a plus

  • Experience in the grocery sector strongly preferred
  • Experience in Beauty and/or Home & Personal Care (HPC) categories is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow assigned retail accounts, acting as the primary point of contact for all sales and account management activities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with company objectives and customer-specific goals
  • Own account planning, forecasting, and performance tracking to ensure revenue and profitability targets are met
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, supply chain, and operations to support launches, promotions, and ongoing account needs
  • Maintain deep product knowledge to effectively present catalog, innovations, promotions, etc.
  • Manage and navigate retailer and distributor vendor portals, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution of shipments
  • Analyze sales data, trends, and customer insights to identify opportunities and risks
  • Prepare and deliver professional presentations, business reviews, and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders
  • Attend client meetings, line reviews, and industry trade shows as required
