About The Position
Windmill Sewing Center/Bernina Store is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Retail Sales Associate to join our team in Overland Park, KS. This position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $12 to $15, plus commission based on sales performance. As a Team Member, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and customer-focused environment. Your primary responsibility will be to engage with customers, demonstrating and selling our range of sewing machines and related merchandise. You will be expected to achieve personal sales objectives while also supporting the overall goals of the team. In addition to sales, you will have the opportunity to learn and teach new sewing projects in a classroom setting, which is a vital part of our community engagement. You will also create sample embroideries and quilt projects that will be displayed in the store, showcasing the capabilities of our products. Other responsibilities include cutting fabric yardage, preparing quilt kits, and using the point-of-sale (POS) system to complete transactions. You will also perform various tasks assigned by the Store Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the business. This role requires a passion for sewing and quilting, as well as a commitment to providing excellent customer service. You will need to be available to work required shifts, including at least one Saturday per month.
