About The Position

Indian Wells Golf Resort is seeking a Retail Sales Associate to join our Golf Shop team. The Retail Sales Associate supports the day-to-day golf shop operation by delivering exceptional member and guest service, promoting merchandise sales, and maintaining the highest standards of retail presentation. This individual will serve as a frontline ambassador of the Resort, providing warm hospitality and creating an elevated shopping experience for members and guests.

Requirements

Previous retail sales or customer service experience, preferably in golf or luxury retail.
Knowledge of golf apparel, equipment, and industry trends preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with guests and colleagues.
Proficiency with POS systems, Microsoft Office, and basic computer skills.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings.

Responsibilities

Greet guests promptly and professionally, delivering a warm and memorable first impression.
Assist with product selection by offering informed recommendations and personalized service.
Handle guest inquiries with discretion, diplomacy, and a solutions-oriented approach.
Build relationships with guests by anticipating preferences and recognizing returning customers.
Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently for purchases, returns, and exchanges.
Process payments, issue receipts, and manage financial transactions in line with Golf Shop procedures.
Actively promote merchandise, apparel, and equipment through suggestive selling and product knowledge.
Receive, tag, display, and maintain merchandise to ensure a polished and inviting shop environment.
Organize displays with attention to detail, reflecting IWGR's elevated brand standards.
Monitor stock levels, rotate inventory, and assist with monthly and seasonal inventory counts.
Keep the Golf Shop clean, organized, and presentable always.
Assist with daily opening and closing responsibilities.
Collaborate with golf and retail leadership to identify opportunities for improved guest experiences.
